So your phone got wet
Today I woke up early cleaned most of the house and mowed the lawn to surprise my parents for Father's day. After that I went of to work as a lifeguard for eight hours and my 48th hour this week. When I came back from work I was worn out from screaming kids and angry residents insulting me. The very first thing that happened to me when I got home was my drunk brother throwing a bucket of water on my shorts. This would have been fine if my phone was not in my pocket. My phone was soaked. I was very tired and there was company so I decided not to flip out. I figured I could make him pay for a new one later, but one of Parent's guest suggested putting the phone and the battery in a bag of rice. Within four hours of it being in the bag of rice, the rice has absorbed the moisture and the phone is fully functional. So if you guys ever soak your phone that is my suggestion to you.

You are so right! My little sister is one to drop her phone in toliets, drinks, etc...and I think she has done the rice thing about 6 times now and it has worked every time! It's crazy how that works...I don't really get how the rice can do all of that but hey, it works! Glad your phone is okay.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got your phone fixed! One time...I was not so lucky and had to buy a new phone all over again. However, if I knew about this rice trick then maybe I could have salvaged it! My friend, just yesterday actually, was babysitting and the kid was playing with her phone and somehow managed to throw it in the toilet! I felt so bad for and she instantly put her phone in rice and it still didn't work. She now has to buy a new phone all over again. You are one of the lucky ones!
ReplyDeleteI wish I would have known about this years ago. My first ever phone suffered a fate like this. I am the kind of person who reads while I take a bath and also text people as well. Being the clumsy person that I am, it slipped out of my hands and into the bath tub. My parents wouldn't buy me another phone for a week just to teach me a lesson. Too bad I spilled coke on that phone a couple months later. I have the worst track record with phones. I mean, who can seriously break the indestructible phone? That would be me.
