So your phone got wet

Today I woke up early cleaned most of the house and mowed the lawn to surprise my parents for Father's day. After that I went of to work as a lifeguard for eight hours and my 48th hour this week. When I came back from work I was worn out from screaming kids and angry residents insulting me. The very first thing that happened to me when I got home was my drunk brother throwing a bucket of water on my shorts. This would have been fine if my phone was not in my pocket. My phone was soaked. I was very tired and there was company so I decided not to flip out. I figured I could make him pay for a new one later, but one of Parent's guest suggested putting the phone and the battery in a bag of rice. Within four hours of it being in the bag of rice, the rice has absorbed the moisture and the phone is fully functional. So if you guys ever soak your phone that is my suggestion to you.

Top 5 places I want to visit.

Several weeks ago I read a blog about a bucket list and I decided that I would write a blog about the five places I have to go to before I die.
Number 5. Seattle
I have always had a desire to go to seattle because of the rock scene. Although grunge is gone seattle still has an amazing rock scene with tons of great music coming out of it. That and I am also a big jazz fan and from what I hear it has an excellent jazz. Plus I think seattle has a gorgeous cityscape.
Number 4. Las Vegas
I have never really gambled before and I am not sure how I feel about the awkward topless show thing. I still feel like I have to visit sin city once in my life.
Number 3. Tokyo
I am a big city person I feel there is so much more to explore in a big city than I any exotic or rural area no matter how good the scenery is. It doesn't get any more big city than Tokyo. It is the most populous metropolitan area with more than 35 million people. Also I would love to go to the east and get authentic asian cuisine. I love noodles and fish so I think I would  be full for the whole time there. Plus the are known for their karaoke bars and once I get a few in me I have a blast sing karaoke. Plus Tokyo also has a thriving jazz scene.
Number 2. Ireland
I know I just got of a kick about liking big cities, but I still have to see the rolling green hills of ireland. Plus I am a big beer drinker and I would like to try all different stouts there. My parents went when I was  little and they raved about it for years after.
Number 1. Chicago
From what I hear Chicago has it all. I want to a deep fried kielbasa before hitting wrigley field for a Cubs day game. Then I want to go straight New Chomisky Park for a White Sox game and after that I want to get the legendary deep dish pizza from the town that invented it. I want to eat a burger at one of chicago's legendary jazz bars. Also I have always wanted to go the Metro in Chicago because it has a great reputation as a alt rock venue.
Thats my list let me know about the places that you want to go.

Food!

This fall I will be living in an off campus apartment for the first time. Of course I am very excited about this, but I do have some concerns. This week I have put one of my biggest concerns to bed. I was scared because I know was not going to buy a meal plan and I only know how to cook steak and pasta. So I decided to look up a bunch of recipes and cook every night this week. Tonight I made Pasta Carbonara and it was one of the most delicious homecooked meals I have had.  I got the recipe off of the Food Networks website and I highly recommed it. I thought that cooking would be a difficult task, but I loved the experience. I was blasting music and after this I feel as long as you follow the diretions you can't mess up. I also recentley took two cooking books from the library of the apartment complex I work at, so I am looking forward to trying out Indian cuisine and Asian cuisine in the up coming days. The main reason That I have for posting this is to ask what are your favorite recipes, so I can start building up my collection?

Bored and Unmotivated

I spend most of my days trying to surround myself with other people, pick up as many hours at work as possible, and doing other chores that I feel need to be done. I absolutley hate being alone. The reason for this is that I have no real passions. I do a couple things for entertainment. For example I love to play baseketball, guitar and wiffleball. I only enjoy doing these things when I am with people. When I first came to college I thought my biggest problem would be finding something I would want to do with the rest of my life. I no longer fear this because most of the adults I have talked to hate their job. I have come to the conclusion that no matter what job I choose, I will eventually grow to hate my job. Since a job that I will enjoy is not a goal for me I decided that my number one goal would be to have a family. This way no matter what job I end up with is not important. The only thing that matters that it can support my familiy. That being said who would want to marry a guy who has no passions for anything other than having a wife. After a short time with living with me my wife will probably be very bored with our conversations. This will most likely lead to divorce, so now I have been trying all sorts of new things to do while I am alone. Does anyone else find leisure hours the least enjoyable part of their week?
